Applications will be reviewed, and selected applicants will be invited for an interview at UIC. Please respond promptly to interview request, as an invitation to interview does not guarantee an interview spot. Applicants are interviewed during months of November, December and January.
1. Completed ERAS application
2. Dean’s Letter
3. USMLE Step 1 Score
4. USMLE Step 2 Score (if available)
5. Personal Statement
6. Letters of recommendation: (At least 3 or 4 letters of recommendation, 1 from
Program Director, optional)
7. Graduation from medical school within the last 7 years.
Only applications received through ERAS will be considered, and applicants are
required to be ECFMG certified. The University of Illinois (UIC) Orthopedics Residency Program
sponsors J-1 visas only.
The Match Participation Agreement for Applicants and Programs requires programs to provide complete, timely, and accurate information to interviewees, including a copy of the contract the applicant will be expected to sign if matched to the program and the institution’s policies on visa status and eligibility for appointment. The information must be communicated to interviewees prior to the Rank Order List Certification Deadline. Please view the following attachments for information
